Where I’m at 09.27.2018

Hello All,

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted here at I’m Jem.

My great friend A reminded several times over the last couple three weeks that a post was overdue – so here I am.

So what have I been doing?

I joined an online Creative Cluster

My husband officially beat cancer – again – his second primary in 6 years.

After we received the good news from the doctor I found this rock. Kids had painted them as part of a community project, and left them to be adopted in various places around town.

It reads: Impossible is Just an Opinion

Halloween is coming – I ran into an old friend in a parking lot.

John Dewey on Art

Art is not the possession of the few who are recognized writers, painters, musicians; it is the authentic expression of any and all individuality. Those who have the gift of creative expression in unusually large measure disclose the meaning of the individuality of others to those others. In participating in the work of art, they become artists in their activity. They learn to know and honor individuality in whatever form it appears. The fountains of creative activity are discovered and released. The free individuality which is the source of art is also the final source of creative development in time.
